New Club member John is a second year student from Virginia studying International Relations and International Law at the University of Edinburgh.
He is a self-taught artist who finds inspiration in a melange of eras and styles. He strives to evoke both the spiritual and creative potential of visual art.
He is as much inspired by the oeuvre of the 19th century french impressionist Odilon Redon as he is by a Byzantine icon or the pre-Raphaelites.
His themes are traditional but meld styles from across time--further revealing the transcendnce of the divine. His travels also furnish him with simple but personally meaningful subjects.
Many more works in the exhibition at the Scottish Arts Club open to the public Tuesday to Saturday 11am to 5pm
