GDPR & Premises License
On 25th May 2018 the EU's General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) became law in the UK. It strengthens your rights over information that relates to you.
When you became a member of the Scottish Arts Club, you provided your name, address, email address, and telephone number(s), as applicable. We protect this data carefully and take every practicable measure to ensure that your information is safe and accurate. We will never sell your data or share it with anyone outside the Club except with your individual permission.
The GDPR Article 6(1)(f) allows us to store and use such information for what they call 'Legitimate interest'; in our case this means providing you with updates about Club activities and matters which relate to the Club, such as membership renewal or information letters, events which may interest you.
You can always ask us to change the way we communicate with you, or to reduce the amount of communications you receive, or have your details removed completely from our records by contacting the Administrator on firstname.lastname@example.org.
