Stefan Grasse - renowned Nuremberg guitarist and composer - will perform a unique programme of his own compositions (and those of his colleague, the late Scottish composer John Maxwell Geddes) for solo guitar. Included will be his popular works dedicated to his sons (Prelude for Raphael and Adrian's Bedtime Story) as well as his poignant study of the migrant crisis Boats of Hope. The influence of Latin American music will be heard in the thrilling Tango para un Lobo and Entre cielo y tierra. Geddes will be represented by the entrancing Elegy and Nocturne.
Stefan Grasse will also be interviewed on the BBC Radio Scotland programme 'Classics Unwrapped' on Sunday October 14 at 21.00 - 22.00 hours. Grasse will talk about the his performance at the Scottish Arts Club, as well as his other concerts in Scotland.
