Lorna Murray is a soprano currently in her fourth year at Edinburgh Napier University, studying under Catriona Clark. Among the many performance opportunities she has had, highlights include performing in Dido and Aeneas with Scottish Opera Connect and singing at the Napier Graduation Ceremonies in the Usher Hall in both 2017 and 2018. She is also very much looking forward to a solo performance with the Edinburgh Napier Chamber Orchestra in November, as well as her final degree recital in May. Lorna is a versatile performer and is equally at home with musical theatre as she is performing classical repertoire. She hopes to continue her studies at a conservatoire in future, with the aim of building a career in opera. She is very grateful for the opportunity to perform at the Scottish Arts Club in her first solo recital.
Jamie Lang graduated from Edinburgh Napier University in 2015 with a Bachelors degree in Music with first class honours. Throughout his time at Napier he enjoyed developing his playing in solo classical performance under the tuition of Simon Coverdale and also in other areas such as chamber music and jazz. Since graduating he has focused on teaching and gaining experience in accompaniment with a view to go on to further study in this area in the coming years.
