Icelandic Sagas and Song

We are delighted to welcome Arnhildur Valgarðsdóttir from Iceland to the Scottish Arts Club for a presentation in words and music, based on Norse Mythology. Her programme will follow Thor's notorious journey to reclaim his stolen hammer, Mjölnir, which was considered to be one of the most powerful weapons in existence, together with some dramatic events from the Icelandic Sagas. Arnhildur will also perform Icelandic folksongs and throw in some fun facts about this sometimes rather eccentric nation. Arnhildur graduated from the RSAMD in Glasgow in 1995 and has been working as an organist, pianist, singer and choir conductor in her native Iceland ever since.
