On Masks, Sculptures by Teresa Hunyadi

August 11th - 24th (Open Tuesdays to Saturdays 11am to 5pm)

Teresa Hunyadi is a young sculptor whose work, primarily working with the material wood, is finely crafted, figurative, but with surprising twists and titles, which give the pieces profound meanings. She is originally from Austria, and studied Art, Design and Art Education at the University of Applied Arts in Vienna from 2010–2015. She followed this by six month in Japan, studying at the Institute for Sculpture, Joshibi University in Sagamihara. From 2015 to date, Teresa has been travelling for solo and group exhibitions abroad, whilst living in Edinburgh. She works here, and is a member at Edinburgh Sculpture Workshop.

Her work has been exhibited in Japan, Austria, France, and Scotland. This year in Paisley (May–June), Caol Ruadh Sculpture Park Argyll (June–Sept) and The Scottish Arts Club is proud to host her exhibition during our ClubFest during Edinburgh Festival, from 11th – 24th August.
Her website is where you can see her work and read more about her studies and awards. Teresa's work is highly professionally executed, unusual and fascinating, take this opportunity to see it while it is here!
