Scottish Tenor, Stuart Murray Mitchell graduated from Edinburgh Napier University in 2010 and carried on his studies at Trinity Laban Conservatoire. He is currently completing his PhD in composition at Edinburgh Napier. As a singer, Stuart is active in choral singing around the country and recent solo concerts have included Mozart’s Requiem and a number of Bach cantatas.
Ian Sutherland graduated from Edinburgh Napier University in 2017 with a BMus in composition. He is frequently in demand as an accompanist and singer around Edinburgh and currently teaches at Edinburgh Young Musicians in addition to holding he post of Musical Director for a number of shows in the city.
Our programme includes songs from the last 400 years, beginning with the Baroque and ending up in the 20th century. As well as well-known songs by Schubert, Quilter and Handel, we have included a number of Scots songs and of course some jazz standards in addition to some solo piano items.
